Sagar Marine was established in 1975 and we have an enviable reputation as a market leader, with proven all round boat building skills, for the construction and fitting out top quality steel craft of distinction.

As a general insight into our Company, we started off building cruisers, traditional narrow boats and tugs and Inspection Launches (190), before building our first Dutch Barge in 1991. Following this we gradually moved over to building Dutch Barges under our

Mini-Luxe design and trade mark which are the only boats we now build.

Our 49th Dutch barge is currently under build.

We are a small family firm and have two sons working within our Company, Andrew and Jonathan. We keep the size of our business small in order that we can give the necessary time and attention to each customer to ensure their respective boats are truly individual.

Quality boats and excellent workmanship have always been our forte and always will be.

Our employees are all conscientious craftsmen who take a great deal of pride in their work and have been with us long term. This is one of our great strengths as prospective customers can rest assured that a consistent quality is always maintained. One team carries out the steelwork build and another team fits out - we never bring in any subcontract labour.

We are a Company who rarely attends boat shows and we only do a relatively small amount of advertising so most of our orders come from personnel recommendations and our undisputed reputation in the marine industry which is something we proudly guard.

Our premises are alongside Brighouse canal basin which we have occupied for over 30 years and boats under fit out can be viewed as they should be -AFLOAT!
